This
painting exhibition is Bemas Chan’s first
premier painting exhibition in Bangkok. He is a
multi artist / artiste covering many disciplines
from dance, acting, choreography, fashion shows,
make-up, costume and jewelry design. Apart from
being a graduate of New York City’s top art
college Parsons School of Design, and winner of
the Tiffany Award Scholarship for promising
metalsmiths / jewelers; he is also a GIA trained
gemologist. He has had 29 years in creative work in Singapore, New York City, Denmark and again in Singapore. And 20 years teaching experience. Now based in Thailand, he has just completed a One-Man ‘cabaret’ show on 23 May at Freeman Disco, and in June he will be teaching different craft and ‘New Age’ exercise classes at Central Chidlom Department Store. He also sells his "art jewelry" creations exclusively at ‘First Gallery’ boutique, Soi Convent, Silom. This exhibition "Wings & Movements" marks his ‘return to the canvas’ after many years. He paints these images from his imagination using human anatomy in movement, but with an added "angelic-cupid" humor element. In a way, Bemas ‘comes full circle’ back to his origins, as when he first began as a painter. |
