| My
name is Aek and this will be my 3rd exhibition at
Dicks Café Bangkok and first of all, I
would like to say thanks to Khun Lukas and all
the others who gave me the chance to show my work
again. Since
I finished all my university art studies, I was
called up for one year Thai army service. It was
a very hard year, but I was still commissioned by
my barracks commander to create massive murals of
some of our past Ramas (kings) that are now
proudly presented in the Roiet Army Camps
Entrance Hall.
As I am interested
in the true rural scenes, I traveled after my
army time to the out back of Thailand and
Cambodia to visit Siam Reap and the Poipet
region. I did this to get more feelings for the
true country life that tourists never will be
able to see. The beauty of these out back regions
is part of what I like to present to the world
and call:
Life
of Mind
After my studies
and life in the big cities, my travels back into
my past reminded me of the real beautiful parts;
one may only experience in my paintings and most
likely never get to see in real life.
I hope you will
enjoy my work as much as I enjoyed painting them
and through my work share the true Thailand
country with you.
I thank you for
visiting my exhibition and would love the
opportunity to discuss my work with you.
