Pised, known to family and friends as Taem
(rhyming with Sam), is studying political science
at Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok. In his native province of
Buri Ram he studied chiaroscuro with Ajarn Jarad
Phaliem and he was provincial winner in an annual
national art competition in 1989 (2533 B.E.). In
high school he began to work with watercolours
and he was provincial and regional winner for the
North East (Isaan) in the national competition in
1996 (2539 B.E.). His work has been exhibited
several times over the years in Buri Ram. Taem is
continuing his Art studies with his teach, Khun
Sujhin. His favoured medium is water colours and
he is now matering the arts with acrylics on
canvas as well.
Last year's solo
exhibition at Dick's Cafe Bangkok was a welcome
success, so much so that Taem was commissioned
this year to paint a 32 piece collection for
Saudi Hotels and Resort Areas Co. in the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia. For this year's exhibiton at
Dick's Cafe Bangkok, Taem will show some of his
works done for Saudi Arabia and scenes of Bangkok
and the surrounds.
The artist will be
present during the Reception held on Friday, 09
September 2004 from 7pm till 9pm.
