| Dick's
Cafe Bangkok is proud to present for the first
time in Bangkok English photographer Pete
Wicker's photographs from his White Night
Collection. From
02 February 2006 to 15 March 2006, an
exhibitionof black and white photographs will be
on display at Dick's Cafe Bangkok after an
equally successful disply at the White Night
restaurant in Pattaya.
The photographs
are a mixture of nostalgia, romance, fun
documentary and are from around the world. The
pictures are from the collection by London-born
photographer Peter Wicker, who has now retired
and is living in Pattaya.
Pete, 70, has had
a working-life to match the diversity of his
photographic collection. This included running a
recording studio in the West End of London,
brunging him into contact with the likes of Elton
Joh, Eric Clapton and the Four Tops, who used the
facility for rehearsals.
Most mornings Pete
visits the Pattaya police station lock-u to see
if any farang inmates need to contact their
relatives or local embassy. "Being arrested
can be a traumatic experience, especially for
first-timers." He does this as a volunteer
and any expenses are met by Pete himself.
During the
exhibition, prints will be available for sale. So
whilst dining, you can view the excellent
collection of Pete's work.
Enjoy.
Pete will be at
Dick's Cafe Bangkok for the opening night on
Friday, 03 February 2006 and I am looking forward
to meeting you there.
