Born in 1977, Mr Phaengtho realized his artistic ability at an early age. He loved to draw and see the world with an artist's eye.
At seventeen, while working in Singapore for several years, Mr Phaengtho became friends with local artists. When he came back to Bangkok, he joined other Thai artists and helped many to exhibit their art work. Time to display his paintings came quickly: his oil paintings are bursting with vibrant color, and his people and scenes are a fresh look at the world through young eyes that are clearly open.
Recently, he apprenticed under Kai Kingsley III, an internationally renowned artist. After three years working with Kingsley, he discovered his true love for acrylic and oil on canvas. Mr Phaengtho's work at Gaysorn and Pikture Gallery, Bangkok has put him in touch with his inner artist and developed his art career.
Now, Jacky, as his friends call him, has several solo shows to his credit, as well as many private collectors. Discovered by Japanese publications for his paintings of the human nude, his style did not stop there. He also creates abstracts, and semi-abstracted works on canvas. A future list of offers to display his work is developing in Phuket, London and other European and Asian cities.
